THE husband of a woman who died after a pub Christmas lunch has blasted a hospital that sent her home.
Della Callagher, 46, sought treatment on Boxing Day after falling ill with suspected food poisoning.
Husband John, 51, said she was sent home a couple of hours later after being given an anti-sickness injection.
He said: ?She was in a really bad way. She just lay in my arms, basically she was dying. We called an ambulance and went back to the hospital but she barely had a pulse.?

The mum ? described by a neighbour as ?a lovely, warm woman who always had time for people? ? died in hospital on December 27.
Mr Callagher, a recruitment chief executive of Hornchurch, Essex, claimed: ?The hospital effectively turned my wife away when there could have been more of a chance of saving her. It was disgusting.?
The couple, due to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary, had a turkey meal with friends and family at the Railway Hotel, Hornchurch. Mr Callagher took Della to the emergency department at Queen?s Hospital, Romford, when she fell ill.
Dr Mike Gill, of the local NHS Trust, said yesterday: ?The patient was fully assessed by a senior clinician and given appropriate treatment and advice before returning home. We will be fully reviewing the case.?
Ember Inns, which runs the Railway Hotel, said: ?We would like to reassure our guests that we prepare our food to the highest hygiene standards.?
