grinder silk: Business Office Directors Meetings Were a Great Success! ? ISL Blog

The ?Olympic Themed? meetings for ISL Business Office Directors (BOD?s) were held recently in Sacramento and Ontario.? We had 47 BOD?s in attendance between both meetings ? which were two days long.? There were presentations on accounting topics (Paying the Bills, AL Wizard, Understanding Financial Statements, Payroll) and HR topics (The role of BOD?s in HR, Silverchair, Workplace Safety).? We also played rousing games of BOD Olympic Jeopardy for an exciting cache of trophies and prizes!

The section that the BOD?s found the most helpful was the BOD Roundtable.? In this session, we asked the BOD?s to come prepared to discuss and share their Best Practices on approximately 17 different areas/tasks that they are responsible for.? We know that no one does their job better than they do and they are the best ones to share Best Practices with one another.? To use Chris? phrase ? We wanted them to be able to work smarter (by sharing their best practices) not harder.

?One huge benefit of holding these meetings was to provide each BOD an opportunity to meet one another and form relationships/friendships.? Now, they will be much more inclined to reach out to one another for assistance.? Said Suzanne Foley, Senior VP of Human Resources.
